EDL Wrap-up symposium was held on February 13 and 14, 2014. On the first day, this year's activities and research presentation by EDL candidates were done. On the second day, the symposium was started with an address by the President of the University of Tsukuba followed by a summary of EDL's five year activities by EDL professors. EDL graduates reported their current career. In the afternoon session, Prof. Jun Ikeda made a keynote lecture: Global Issues in Ancient Near East b, and a panel discussion: “How We Should Develop Environmental Leaders within International Framework – Towards fostering human resources to solve global issues –” was done and there were many opinions and suggestions from the panelists as well as audience.
On September 14, 2013 the Joint Congress of Environmental Leader Program was held at Tokyo Campus of the University of Tsukuba, gathering International Environment Leaders Training Programs in 17 Japanese univesities under the support of the Funds for Integrated Promotion of Social System Reform and Research and Development by MEXT.
